You can experience a close encounter of these gentle giants of the ocean. You can encounter Southern Right Whale, Brydes Whales, Dolphins, Seals, Penguins and lots of Bird Life. You will enjoy an educational and informative trip of the various Marine Life in Walker Bay. You will also enjoy the beautiful views of Hermanus and its Majestic Mountains. Sightings are NEVER guarenteed as these are wild animals living in the wild. We have no control over these beautifull creatures. But, throught the history of Whale Watching here in Hermanus the sightings have been superb and most trips are always successfull with sightings.
Gansbaai / De Kelders is the most popular spot for the Southern Right Whales and generally has more activity of South Right Whale in the Gansbaai / De Kelders area. This has been proven over the many hears of countings and sightings in the area and why the founder of commercial Whale Watching in the Hermanus and De Kelders area chose this area to do Boat Based Whale Watching trips.

We recommend that you avoid alcohol the previous night, as alcohol induces sea sickness. Take a sea sickness tablet the night before your Whale Watching trip and again 1 hour before your Hermanus Whale Watching Trip. Also don’t eat a heavy meal before your Whale Watching boat trip. You don’t want Sea Sickness to spoil your Whale Watching Experience.
