Number One Activity
Boat-based whale watching from Hermanus New Harbour is the number one thing to do in Hermanus. Trips run in Walker Bay — one of the world's best sheltered whale nurseries — for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Land-based Whale Watching
The famous 12 km Cliff Path stretches along the Walker Bay coastline from Gearing's Point towards Grotto Beach. Excellent for walking, photography and seasonal whale watching — whales are often visible just metres from shore.
Mountain Lookout
One of the best panoramic viewpoints in Hermanus, overlooking Walker Bay, the town and the coastline towards Gansbaai. Especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset.

One of the most popular hikes in Hermanus. The route to the Three Dams is particularly popular and offers spectacular mountain and coastal scenery through pristine fynbos.
